Guttural Visions

Extreme Metal, A Visual Interpretation
It’s really happening. And soon! Below is the information for our upcoming show, with an opening reception on Friday, March 4th, 7:00pm – 11:00pm at the Black Dog Cafe in Lowertown.

Experience The Darkness!!! Black Dog flexes its metal muscle this March featuring artworks inspired by Extreme Metal Music! Visual assailants Josh Journey-Heinz, Sharyn Morrow, and Dan Wieken evoke guttural visions with afflicted illustrations and devilish photography to torture your souls. DJ Tanner Anderson completes the pandemonium in Lowertown playing music that spans the nebulous genre.

RSVP here. I’ve been having a wonderful time with my intrepid models. They’ve been game about trudging over and through snowbanks, clambering up trees, heading down to the frozen river, etc., while encumbered by cloaks and various accoutrements. Anything FOR ART. Or a good time. Speaking of a good time, I often enjoy the goofy outtakes more than the “real” shots. Here’s a sampling of what you’re in for, if you swing by our show.
