Stoking the Wanderlust
Like a lot of people I love to travel, but have limited resources. Last weekend I finally ventured back to Los Angeles, for the first time in eleven years. In 1998 I’d gone to see the Bauhaus reunion show, at the Hollywood Palladium. This trip wasn’t so much about a specific event, but rather just the need for a change of scenery. Many more photos from the weekend on flickr here.

Here Comes That Cold Sunrise
Spring is here, technically. And we’ve even experienced some Spring-like weather recently. But today has been a rainy Monday chock full of gloom and doom. To snap out of my funk I am going to look ahead, to the many music festivals and other adventures that are on their way. Particularly All Tomorrow’s Parties in New York.

Atomix Coffee Shop and The Garfield Park Conservatory
My son’s Spring Break is right around the corner. Last year it was a big production, adventuring throughout the Pacific Northwest. That’s not in the cards this go around but a more modest trip is in the works. Mainly to Madison, WI but possibly further afield. I used to get to Chicago far more often. I need more of the Ukrainian Village in my life. This deficiency shall be remedied. Hopefully soon.
